Nutrition by Natalie
Nutrition and Your Mental Health
What does nutrition have to do with mental health? You might be surprised to find out the truth behind what happens when a person has a nutritional deficiency.
Nutritional deficiencies can cause all sorts of psychiatric symptoms including apathy, low energy, irritability, insomnia, low energy, agitation, fatigue, concentration problems, aches and pains, weight changes, including weight loss or weight gain. Sound a lot like the symptoms of depression? The truth is the average American diet of fast food is low in vital nutrition that you need for your body to function correctly.
This isn’t to say that all depression is caused by bad nutrition but it’s certainly a contributing factor in many cases and poor nutrition will always make depression worse. Antidepressant drugs also do not correct nutritional problems. So if your depressed because of nutritional problems an antidepressant will only partially cover up the problem and you body still won’t function correctly.

I am wondering because I am very athletic, however I am not sure if I want to participate in any sports.
I take on a lot of leadership skills, extracurricular activities, and I am practically valedictorian, but just how important are sports on your resume?
Colleges like it if you played sports in high school because it shows that you are a team player and that you have school spirit.
It’s not necessarily better than other extracurriculars, but it does look good to colleges.

Back in Girl Scouts we would go on a hike at a park that would have a fitness trail. Along the fitness trail there would be stations set up where you do jumping jacks, pull-ups, walking a beam, etc. I have seen them by office buildings and apartment complexes too. What I want to do is find out what they are officially called so I can do a search online. Thanks! (PS: I am from the Schaumburg, IL area if that helps.)
Usually it is called a fitness trail.

Ok so im still writing this essay on how the health systems in france. However I do not understand how their health insurance works. So could someone explain it simply please. I understand that most of their Health expenses is covered by the state- but that is all i get.
I’ve lived here in France for 9 years and am not an expert…. but….
Salaried employees pay tax as does their employer on their income, which is called ‘Social Charges’ this covers health and retirement among other things. However it doesn’t usually cover 100% of health/medical costs!!!!
Normally the standard contributions cover about 75% of the medical costs. People who are in the French health system have a ‘Carte Vitale’ (Health Card) which has a chip with their ID on. This allows them to get discount when they go to the Chemist for a prescription and allows the Doctor to access their records.
Many people take out a private health insurance or ‘Top Up health insurance’ to take care of the final 25% medical fees.
Normally if it’s a serious illness then the standard state covers 100%, things like Broken legs, cancer etc.
Good luck with the essay!

I am trying to losing 100+ lbs. I do work out and do cardio 2-4 times a week. Due to work load i just cant make time for more exercise. I have heard HGH might help in excelerating weight loss. Any advice or suggestions. Any opinion on legal issues as far as prescribing this drug?
HGH is not illegal. But the only way it is going to get prescribed to you, is if you are older than 50 years old or suffering from dwarfism. Other than that I think your SOL and might want to consider talking to a nutritionist or someone else instead.
