They live near the team, their parents or close relatives support the team, or they have been given a product that may have something to do with the team.

They live within or close to the city that team is stationed in. Some follow a team because they grew up with them / their parents are die hard fans. Others follow them because they jumped on a band wagon when they were once a good team and they felt they should stick with them. Others feel emotionally attached to one team. Many people have different reasons. I was one of the band wagon because I did not like my local teams. My team is horrible now, but I'm not going to be fake and switch to a different team. Sports teams need loyal fans.

i can’t help but wonder if you are talking safe from injuring yourself, in ways like knees etc or safe as in not likely to die. But here’s my thought:
Safe, indoor cycling, croquette, Yoga
Unsafe, Football, Soccer, horse racing (flat)

Rythmic and Athletic gymnastics
Bull riding
Hockey specially in Canada

safe- bowling, golf, (all stand-still sports)

dangerous- rugby, American football, hockey, gymnastics and cheerleading (any sport that can leave you paralyzed if you mess up)

Water Polo.
Golf.

3 Dangerous.

Football.
Hockey.
Football(the European kind).
Rugby.

How the health system in panama does not work? As the average Panamanian would say, public health care is very poor, worse yet if you are not employed, less health care coverage than those with social security coverage.
